Goava Enrich setup for HubSpot

Goava Enrich adds reliable Nordic company data to your HubSpot companies and keeps it up to date automatically. This article explains what Enrich does, how to set it up, how matching works, and how to fix common issues.

What is Goava Enrich?

Goava Enrich connects the companies in your HubSpot account to Goava's database of Nordic companies. You no longer need to research or type in company data manually. The data is shown in an app panel on the HubSpot company record, and with Enrich Premium it can also be written into your HubSpot company properties.

Enrich is for companies that are already in your CRM. If you want to find new companies that are not in your CRM yet, use Goava Discover.

Data available in the free version

The following data points are shown in the Enrich panel on the company record:

  • Company name
  • Website (URL)
  • Revenue
  • Number of employees
  • Financial result
  • Industry
  • Company description
  • Date founded
  • Address
  • Phone (switchboard)

The phone number is the main switchboard number registered by the company itself. It is not a verified direct number.

Free vs. Premium

The free version shows data in the panel. Enrich Premium writes company data into your HubSpot properties, so you can use it in lists, reports, segments and workflows. Roughly 25 to 30 predefined data points can be mapped at no extra cost, and the selection can be expanded over time. To activate Premium, contact the Goava team. See also: Goava Enrich Premium data.

Getting started

  1. Install the app. Install Goava Enrich in your HubSpot account. 
  2. Log in or create a Goava Enrich account. Use your work email.
  3. Map your HubSpot data to Goava data. Mapping improves how accurately your companies are matched. Make sure the organization number is mapped if you store it in HubSpot. For Premium, also choose which Goava data points go into which HubSpot properties.
  4. Start using Enrich. Open any company record in HubSpot and find the Enrich panel.

How company matching works

Goava uses Smart Company Match to link each HubSpot company to the right company in the Goava database.

  • Organization number is the primary matching key and gives a fully reliable match.
  • If the organization number is missing, Enrich uses a weaker match on company name or domain. Each match gets a confidence score that decides whether data is applied automatically. This can occasionally give a wrong match, especially for company groups that share a domain.

If the match is wrong

In the Enrich panel, click Incorrect match? Find the right company. A search page opens where you can search all Nordic companies and select the correct one.

How data is updated (Premium)

  • Enrich updates continuously in the background. When a data point changes, for example revenue or address, HubSpot is updated, usually daily and at least at every year-end close.
  • Overwrite setting: With overwrite off (recommended), only empty fields are filled, or fields that already hold the same value. Values that someone entered or changed manually in HubSpot are not overwritten.
  • You choose which companies are covered by automatic updates, but not per field or per row. The update applies to all selected companies or none.
  • If a company has branches under the same organization number, keep overwrite off so branch-level data such as address and phone is not replaced by head office data.
  • Industry is provided according to the latest SNI standard and is updated automatically. You can build your own industry segments on top of it with HubSpot workflows.

Tips for best results

  • Make sure the organization number is filled in on your HubSpot companies. Goava can run a one-off cleanup to fill in missing numbers, which may involve an additional cost.
  • Do not delete companies that lack an organization number without checking. They may be old imports or inbound leads that still matter. The Goava matching report shows which companies are active and inactive.
  • Always test on a small sample, for example a single company, before running a full bulk update.
  • Unusual organization number formats can cause a missed match. Send Goava a list of exact company names and the correct IDs can be matched manually.

Frequently asked questions

Which countries are covered? Nordic companies.

Does Enrich provide email addresses or contact details? No. Enrich provides company data only. Contact details come from Goava's contact and research features. Contacts imported into HubSpot are not synced continuously afterwards.

Why does HubSpot show a different employee count than Goava? This is usually a field mapping issue, not incorrect data. Check that the correct HubSpot property is mapped and enabled.

Does the domain come along with the data? The domain is included in the Enrich process, but not yet in every flow.

I found incorrect data on a company. What should I do? Report the company and the incorrect field to Goava support so it can be corrected.

Is Enrich the same as Goava Discover? No. Enrich keeps the companies already in your CRM up to date. Discover finds new companies to prospect, based on your ideal customer profile.
